The Hollywood darling Elie Saab showed a more demure collection this season. Entitled ”Ode to delicateness”, it was feather light, playing with degrees of transparency. Sparkling embroideries encrusted see-through laces and silks, to create ethereal gowns with illusion necklines that beautifully showed of this season’s focal point – the shoulders. Known for making weightless gowns the collection floated on the model bodies and seemed effortless to carry. The collection included the designer’s signature style of tulle dresses, delicate embroidery scattered across the dresses. Fishtail and hourglass silhouettes were common throughout the line, as were illusion necklines and sheer sleeves. It takes an average of 800 hours for the designer to complete a single piece. These efforts make every piece a favorite in the elite and royalty. Each piece iconic and timeless in itself.

This season he introduced a new shorter Fifties shape, often with a fresh ¾ sheer sleeve. Waists were marked with an ultra slim belt that added an edge to the dresses and gowns. These dresses showed off the ability of the wearer to show off that perfectly sculpted body. Like all designers Elie Saab stuck to the ornate delicate designs showing of narrow waists and extenuated shoulders. These included everything from floor-length evening gowns to provocative, vibrant cocktail dresses. The piece de resistance of the Lebanese designer's incredible collection was the final wedding gown, which had Ottoman-like detailing and an opulent structured cut portrayed timeless beauty.
